Shisa kanko (Point and calling) to pepare and focus on the task

There is a work concept that originated in Japan and is a great habit to get into when doing certain peices of work. 

By saying what you are going to do before you do it, you are more focused and less likely to make a mistake. Absolutely critical when out there by yourself going at 35knots!

It is also used in the US on some train systems, as well as in some militaries:
